About us

Our story

Celine Kwan is the founder and creative director of her own label, Celine Kwan. She attended Central Saint Martins in London where she studied Fashion Print and graduated in 2021. Celine draws inspiration from her diverse, international upbringing in Hong Kong and the UK, which allows her to adapt her work to different themes and audiences.

Driven by core values of ethical manufacturing, exploration of technology and sustainability, Celine Kwan is a brand that aims to elevate the fashion industry and explore the possibilities of where fashion and technology can meet.

Celine is a finalist for both Xin Tian DI and JNBY scholarships during her time at Central Saint Martins with industry experience working for the atelier at Viktor &Rolf, Roksanda, and Shrimps. Since graduating, Celine has gained the attention of major publications such as Vogue UK and Madame Figaro Hong Kong, as well as celebrities including Bella Poarch, Melanie Martinez and Lizzo who commissioned multiple custom pieces.

She debuted her RTW collection in Paris Fashion Week with funding from Fashion Farm Foundation, where she showcased Autumn-Winter 2022 and in the following months, she won the prestigious award of Top 10 Asian Designers as well as Prestige's 40 Under 40 Hong Kong. By the end of 2022, William Chang invited Celine Kwan to be part of the V&A/K11 exhibition, also known as 'Asia's Met Gala', where she showcased looks from her past collections. In 2023, Celine Kwan was selected as one of the designers to be part of the iconic V-files Lab cohort in New York, and most recently, she debuted her first global collaboration with Casetify with immediate international success, where her designs sold out within two days from launch!

Most importantly, Celine wants to produce clothing that can be passed on from generation to generation and to consider the lifecycle of clothes from cradle to grave. Her label aims to shine a spotlight on the strength and creativity of female Asian fashion designers.
